Thank the lords their back.......

So another few days has passed, and the world has tilted marginally off balance on to return steadfastly back into place early today (and it had precious little to do with the earthquake).....

Dear reader let me explain, I mention in my profile that one of the families favourite pastimes is the sport (?) of Geocaching this sees us out most weekends hunting down a lunchbox previously hidden by someone else as a kind of treasure hunt. Nothing so far earth shattering about this you would htink, well hold on I am getting to the good stuff, in order to find and track these lunchboxes full of goodies you must first know where they are hidden, in comes the aforementioned (and linked website) the US based www.geoaching.com, who for no recompense, allow the hiders of said lunchboxes to to list where they have hidden the boxes (or caches) so that others may log onto the site and take the details before heading off in search of the box. Still all very simple, well yes and no, The site is owned by Americans, whilst we the British still like to have our own level of control, so imagine the uproar when the US moderators stepped in to dispute the viability of several caches that had been placed to allow donations of money to the charities involved in the relief efforts required after the Tsunami..... well the end result was the loss of our two approver / moderators, and the world tilted off its axis....... Then today after much more infighting amongst others, the mods were happiliy returned to their rightful position of overseers of all we do in the UK.... not sure how many apologies were forthcoming to them from elsewhere, but I sit thankful that they haver returned......

Maybe now, with the world back on its even keal we can go out and find some lunchboxes.....
